A Brief Biography
Dotti Gallagher is one of those rare people who can say she has expertise in all forms of marketing and mean it. Her firm, Dotti Gallagher Consulting, unites marketing, communications, public relations, digital, research, sales and creative services in one neat package of skills her clients trust and seek out again and again.
Dotti entered marketing through the front door – sales - after a successful stint selling life insurance and investment products. An insurance client hired her as a sales and marketing leader at First National Bank of Nevada. There, she rose through the ranks and was named head of branch sales and service before moving to U.S. Bank in a regional public relations role. In this role, she managed media relations, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy for the bank’s operations in Nevada, Utah and Idaho for more than a decade.
PR became a passion Dotti grabbed with both hands, joining the Public Relations Society of America. At the local level, Dotti held many roles including President and received the chapter’s Gold Spike award for PR excellence and the prestigious Mark Curtis Award. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 1997 and was named to the PRSA College of Fellows in 2017.
Dotti’s passion for marketing and communications drew her to TrueBlue, Inc., the nation’s largest industrial staffing firm, where she became Senior Director of Marketing to top-off a stint lasting more than 13 years. In this role, she led the company’s entrée to the digital world, introducing numerous websites and SEO strategy, social media and content marketing practices. She also held roles managing internal and external communications, creative services, the project management office, and marketing research, fine-tuning her skills in each of these areas.
The launch of Dotti’s consultancy in 2016 combines her childhood dreams of teaching and writing with her adult mission of creatively inspiring others.
Today, Dotti Gallagher Consulting represents clients in staffing, recycling, construction, tourism and the arts. She is a member of the PR Consultants Group and an adjunct team member of RAD Strategies Inc. and Recruitment Brand IQ. She also teaches public speaking at Utah Valley University.
Dotti spent many years as an amateur ski racer and worked on-course at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Men’s Downhill venue. She now works as a volunteer Mountain Host at Snowbird Ski Resort.
